On behalf of the Editorial Board, it is with profound pleasure and a distinct sense of purpose that I announce the inaugural issue of The North African Journal of Food and Nutrition Research (NAJFNR)—the first international periodical dedicated specifically to advancing nutritional science within North Africa and the broader Mediterranean basin.
As an international, peer-reviewed, open-access platform, NAJFNR is committed to disseminating methodologically robust, uncompromised, and pioneering scholarship. The journal provides an expansive forum for original investigations, critical reviews, and expert perspectives addressing the multifaceted relationships between human nutrition, metabolic physiology, and clinical pathology.
