35 Items
NCDs, known as chronic diseases, tend to be of long duration and are the result of a combination of genetic, physiological, environmental and behavioural factors.
The main types of NCD are cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes mellitus. NCDs disproportionately affect people in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
This Research Topic welcomes articles on role of nutrition in preventing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) with a focus on LMICs. Articles should be focused but not limited to:
- Prevention, diagnosis, treatment of diet related NCDs;
- Policies and regulations related to nutrition/food intake and public health.
