There is a growing awareness that adequate dietary strategies are absolute key factors in optimizing physical training and athletic performance.

This section is offering new insights into sport nutrition and exercise metabolism, as well as research focusing on biochemistry, physiology, and nutrition applied to sport and exercise.

The section is devoted to publishing high-class research in sport nutrition.

We welcome both fundamental research (human, animal, cells) as well as findings that are directly applicable to the active community, to the general population and to the physically frail patient groups. We also invite studies on the interaction of diet and physical activity on health and well-being.
